Entertainment & Nightlife in French Guiana

There is not much nightlife in French Guiana. However, this does not mean that bars and clubs do not exist in the country. There are nightclubs in Cayenne, Kourou and St Laurent du Maroni. Cayenne also has one cinema featuring French-language films. Cinemas can also be found in Kourou and St Laurent.

Golden beach is a nice joint because it offers not only partying, but other activities as well. As it is found along the beach, swimming may also be done before raving or the other way around. The joint also serves great food and drinks, along with lively tunes.

Locals, expatriates, as well travellers frequent La Bodega for a taste of live music, excellent French liquor and Ti Punch. Others also come here for the snacks and tapas that are absolutely delectable.

For people who love warm and cosy evenings, Harry's Bar is the place to go. Harry's offer slow jazz music that is soothing to the ears. The bar also offers a vast collection of whiskey from which patrons may choose. Aside from this, blues lovers will also love this place as blues sounds are regularly played in this joint.

While many Cayenne nightclubs pop up, burn bright for a while and then disappear just as quickly, the Greek-themed Acropolys is one that continues to be popular; it pumps out Zouk and international music.
